1. “That’s not important.”
After spending your time talking with your workers, you need to listen to their concerns. But if he thought it was crucial enough to bring it to the manager, then it merits your attention. You should listen to the concerns raised and try to find a remedy for their problems.”
It does not matter the subject that your employees want to discuss with you. It may be a small
issue like some insights about a project or changes in policy at the workplace. When you listen and give the concerns raised appropriate consideration, your employees will feel valued and appreciated.
2. “We could always find someone else.”
One might assume that employers would not say this to their employees yet these are the comments that were regularly used in my first job after graduating from the college. Some managers use these comments directly to employees without considering the adverse effect it has on their business.
When employers say those threatening words, their workers start to doubt about the security of
their jobs. You cannot expect to retain top talents in your company with such type of environment in your business.
3. “Don’t improve or change anything you’re doing.”
You might be wondering, who does not want to be recognized for his efforts? But, while employees will like to be appreciated, they know that they can always do better.
You should encourage your employees to give you feedback on how you can improve your business. You
